Class Pages 2015 - 2016

Thank you for visiting our class page.

Meet the Dolphins

Welcome to the ‘Dolphins’ home page. Our class teacher is Mrs Brignall and our teaching assistants are Mrs Cooper and Mrs Green. You will see us at the Year 1 gate every morning from 8.40am if you have any questions or messages.

Our P.E. days this term are Tuesday and Friday. It is, however, recommended that pupils keep their P.E kit in school at all times as we often have extra P.E. sessions such as Freddy Fit.

We will listen to children read every day so please ensure that your child's book bag and home reading book are brought to school every day. Please sign and date if you have heard your child read at home to enable us to change their book when they need to. Reading records will be checked and books changed on a weekly basis.

Homework will be handed out on termly. You will be given five challenges to choose from during our current topic. You can also help your child by reading daily and signing your child's home - school reading record and practicing times tables and weekly spellings.

In Dolphins our topic this term is 'Under the Sea.' In this topic we are taking a journey to the deepest depths of the oceans as we dive into life underwater with this fantastic Under the Sea topic. We will discover weird and wonderful sea creatures, explore the major oceans and seas of the world. Finally, we will get creative with some fishy art and so much more!

Family Learning Day

A huge thank you to all of the grown-ups that joined us on Monday afternoon; great fun was had by all as you can see in the photographs below.

Children in Need 2015

The School Council decided that they would like us to change roles for the day to raise money for Children in Need.
We all paid to dress up as the teachers for the day and asked the teachers to dress up as school children.

We all looked amazing.

Our focus in English for the next few week is the story Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers, today we used props to act out the story.
