Butterflies highlights

In maths we have been learning the names of 2D shapes and thinking about how we can describe them. For example, a triangle has 3 straight sides and 3 corners.

Daria ‘I’ve made a house and a human using a circle for the face’.

Ruben and Riley made a triangle using 3 pieces of pipe cleaners.

Some boys enjoyed completing a shape jigsaw.

Max made a rocket using a rectangle, 2 big triangles and a small triangle at the top.

Butterflies highlights – Week ending – 13th November

This week in maths we have been learning about positional language.

We went on a bear hunt to find the bear and describe where he was hidden, for example, on top of, behind, next to etc.

Butterflies highlights – Week ending – 6th November

This week we have been learning about ‘We’re going on a bear hunt.’

In literacy the children thought of some amazing adjectives to describe a bear. Some children wrote a sentence about a bear.
